  1. Yesterday
  2. Good report. The flat light today made the groomers less enjoyable but the woods were still great.
  3. I’ll try to make it back up atleast once more before the season is over but next weekend we’re headed to wildcat. It’s been 3 years too long for that mountain too. Sent from my iPhone using Northeast Mountain Sports
  4. Hey! Really great to see you back at Cannon today! Hopefully catch you again soon.
  5. Cannon 2/16 Crowds: Yes, there were holiday crowds but actually less than MLK Sunday, and even less than the Sat after MLK. Crowds were felt more on the slopes then in the lines. Lines weren't terrible, but Joey-ville on the trails. Temp: it was about 20-25 degrees warmer than yesterday but felt about 10 degrees colder. The sun and lack of wind on Saturday made the single-digit temps comfortable. Today was cloudy, windy and raw. Conditions: still good stuff everywhere. Getting skied off in usual places mid-day. Goods in the woods.
  6. Whaleback skied very well this am. Nice mix of groomers and natural/tree skiing Coverage was better than I expected Sent from my moto g(6) using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  7. Headed to Cannon today! Sent from my iPhone using Northeast Mountain Sports
  8. Not skiing Sat/Sun, but spending Mon-Fri on the slopes at Big Sky! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It was crazy sunny. Sugarbush this morning and Cannon this afternoon.

  13. @ Dartmouth Skiway Absolutely perfect ski day Zero lines, uncrowded/gorgeous lodge and all terrain skiing great Couple pics during lunch break. Holt's Ledge all AM and we'll do Winslow side this afternoon The perfect spot to avoid vacation crowds and get some quality turns in! Sent from my moto g(6) using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  14. The real question should be which mountains are fairly challenging that do not make snow or have limited snowmaking. There probably aren’t many. MRG stands out and has really good terrain. Others? Sent from my iPhone using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  15. It's an interesting spin on a very common offering. I've been to dozens of fee-based, well maintained ski areas that have no lift service. I've been to them all over the US and Canada. They've all been called "Nordic Centers". Some are very flat, some have some decent pitch. So I guess what this place is offering is a Nordic Center that is steeper than typical.
  16. Thursday - Crotched ARL Saturday - Wildcat Sunday - Attitash or Wildcat Monday - Team O'Neil Winter Driving School
  17. Thursday: Crotched (ARL) Saturday: Dartmouth Skiway Sunday: Ragged or Whaleback
  18. Yup! Gonna be f'ing cold, but still snowing now so it should be primo in the morning.
  19. Pretty excellent at Sugarbush (2/13). Picked up an inch of wet to start the day. Which seemed a little disappointing at first, but carved really well. Summit was colder and fluffier. Visibility was tough but powder was available on sides and in woods. Snow started coming down steadily around noon and a few inches piled up. Castlerock was phenomenal. Deep stuff available everywhere. Steins and others on that side were also soft and great. More tomorrow.
  20. I am doing some file migration today. I know there are ongoing disruptions, but things should be slowly coming back online as the migration completes. Sorry for the interruption.
  21. Sorry I missed the post. I was on vacation in France for the last two weeks. Just got back last night and am catching up now.
  22. I was away so I missed this post... Skied Tignes on Friday. Power went out. I had to hike 1.2 miles across a frozen lake to a running lift to get out of town. Drank the rest of the day.

  24. Not east coast but thought the concept was pretty cool. I guess "similar to what Ascutney is now minus the surface lift. https://www.forbes.com/sites/suziedundas/2020/02/10/the-countrys-first--no-chairlift-ski-resort-opens-this-weekend-in-colorado/ Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app

BCC rarely closes. It closed the other day for a super heavy weekend crowd/traffic, not because of snow closure. Normally if you enter BCC by 730-8 AM you are good. LCC is more prone to morning snow closures if there has been more than six inches new overnight snow, which is once or twice a week or more. A lot of six inch storms don't close LCC, but some do if only for 6-8am time frame. LCC was closed this past Thurs, Fri and Sat AM due to dangerous wet snow and lots of avi mitigation work. You can track road situation on ski resort websites or Check with UDOT: https://udottraffic.utah.gov/ I will be at Jackson Hole last week of Feb otherwise I'd meet you for a few runs at Snowbird. Snowbird's a pretty challenging mtn. The most mellow skiing is in Mineral Basin. There is some good dark blue/single black diamond skiing off the Little Cloud chair too. Gad 2 and Gadzoom chairs are good for tree skiing on low vis days, some of it is very challenging. Advanced/expert skiers/boarders must hit the various chutes like Great Scott off the Cirque, which is fun to observe when riding the upper half of the tram. Peruvian side has good top to bottom skiing and is sometimes less crowded than other areas.
