  4. Family ski wknd. Staying in a hotel in White River Jct as a home base Sketchy drive up this AM. Wet Frozen slush on 89 is the worst I've but we took it slow and got up to a half full lot about 930 15" of dry powder with just enough of a layer to keep the rocks hidden. Bluebird skies to start the day and with the sun in the snow covered trees it really made for amazing scenery. Everything was game on/ski on. Today marked opening day for the Bailey Falls Lift (no snowmaking back there) Worth Mtn and Sheehan chair provided some amazing skiing. Middlebury is a special place as I've been coming to discover (now my 5th visit) Folks are friendly, great for kids, laid back and the glades are legit awesome Really can't recommend the Snow Bowl enough if you haven't been. Kids are bombing around in the pool now so I'll just let the pics tell the rest of the story On to Dartmouth Skiway tomorrow to complete our college ski wknd! 7. Pray for Snow! Thursday: Crotched (ARL) Saturday: Pats Peak (family ski, low elevation, short lift rides=less chance for frostbite) Sunday: Ragged (storm skiing with some college buddies)
  8. Cannon was really good today for 1/1/20 $29 NH Resident Wednesday and 4" on a holiday where there are very few lines?! I'll take it. Always great to make some turns with@fcksummer,@ABV, @PuckIt My kids (4 and 6) had fun as well. Basing out of the tram was a smart call for us...kids had fun riding up the tram! Thanks Cannon rental shop for the loaner poles! My 6 yr old was not happy when I realized I forgot them this AM! Upper mtn and zoomer were really good. Took final run down about 2 top to bottom and other than the typical bypass/link mess it was really sweet. Soft, fluffy turns with some drifts ankle or so deep which we haven't felt in a while. 9. Yes, half full Sent from my moto g(6) using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  10. Wildcat today (Sunday) did not disappoint Woods were too grabby to really enjoy but coverage not an issue. I was especially impressed by Upper Wildcat A poach of Upper Hairball also yielded nice results Sent from my moto g(6) using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  11. 9 runs on Lynx to open my season. Deepest coverage I've seen early season at Wildcat. Edge to edge with no signs of debris Very satisfying opening day at Wildcat Sent from my moto g(6) using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  12. I'd be surprised if there are any changes there---not sure why Vail would meddle so much in that level of detail but I suppose ya never know. We have options though (Pats) if need be
  13. I'm hopeful that this news pushed more of the independents to rally together. For next yr I'm buying an Indy Pass as well as a bunch of vouchers through various means. Will not have a traditional season pass but rather chase variety/snow as I like crowd avoidance and being able to ski different mtns with my 2 young boys. With a young family we place a premium on having uncrowded lodges, low/zero lift lines, and parking that doesn't require a shuttle bus. This is a pretty nice little collection that I'm hoping grows by another mtn or 2 for New England. I can definitely see myself getting 2 days in at Pats/Magic/S6/Bolton at minimum with a possible Berkshire East/Catamount trip as well. I'd like to see Black NH/Tenney/Middlebury/Granite Gorge consider jumping on this pass...they could raise the price up to $399 and add more mtns and I think it could be fairly popular. http://www.indyskipass.com/
  14. Yes, most everyone that is giving away a voucher has bought them and is giving back/paying it forward when offering these up. It's a nice community and hopefully all can reciprocate in the sharing! Benefits us all Sent from my moto g(6) using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  15. Did you make it to WV a couple weeks ago as well?
  16. Much to my surprise Black Mtn (NH) may be running the lifts this coming wknd per their snow report. I was very surprised they had enough to open last wknd (being a south facing slope) so fairly remarkable they would have both enough snow and enough potential demand (for a place I always view as this may be their last season) to justify opening.
