  1. Any idea what the pricing will be like for the Epic Pass? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  2. I'm contemplating three options, one is the Superpass, one is Icon unlimited, and lastly is Ragged with Icon Basic - gives us a bunch of options for early and late season. The SP is definitely more money but we can ski BW and Cranmore for our week at Attitash Mountain Village, and day trips to Cannon and Waterville are pretty easy up 93 for us Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

  5. This is a copy of the message I sent to peaks via Instagram: As a multi-year multipass holder I am disgusted with your lack of desire to truly fix the Summit Triple at Attitash. You have spend multiple millions of dollars in VT and NY over the last three years and one of the biggest bane's of existence in your portfolio is the POS pile of scrap metal you call a lift. 5 weeks this season there has been no access to the summit and some of the best terrain in Mount Washington Valley. You are loosing family's by the dozens as this problem remains. We love our hill but will not continue to spend our money at a place that doesn't value their customers. Response: Thanks for the passionate feedback. We want to assure you that we’re working hard to come up with a good solution for the Summit Triple. Right now the focus is to get it back up and running for this season, while we work on a long term solution. Ok, is it just me or is the long term solution pretty f$@king evident? 8. As the lift DOESN'T TURN!! Was there when it went down ~ 930 this morning, huge damper of a beautiful day. We made the best of it but the lift lines were stupid. SUMMIT TRIPLE REPAIR UPDATE Saturday, February 23, 2019 Written by John Lowell 2/23/19 Good afternoon. Today, during morning operations, a noise was detected coming from the general area of the bullwheel at the base of our Summit Triple. The lift then continued to run until everyone was offloaded and we made the decision to close the lift for the remainder of the day to begin to diagnose the cause of the noise. As of this report, we believe the issue is with the planetary gears within the bull wheel itself. We are reaching out to experts in this field to properly test this theory and begin repairs. For those of you less familiar with the workings of a lift, the bullwheel weighs approximately 3800 pounds and is the large wheel that the cable revolves around at the top and bottom of the lift. The lower bullwheel is powered by an electric motor which turns the planetary gears within the bullwheel and advances the lift cable. We understand that this is not what any of you were wanting to hear in the middle of a weekend, and we want to assure you that we’re going to do all we can to get the lift running as soon as possible. 9. Should not be a surprise to anyone but the triple is down again. Drove by the base towards Bear at 925 and it was running. By the time we booted up and got back out ~945, there was a mass of bodies flying down under the triple headed to flying bear. Talked to at least a dozen people who said they are tired of the bullshit and probably won't be back next year. Can't say I blame them. I will be looking at different options for next year myself. 11. Had a great 5 hours at the Crotch today with the family. Didn't want to deal with the madness that is Vermont skiing on a Holiday so we decided to go to the hill less skied. I found fantastic coverage on everything except Jupiter's Storm (didn't ski it). Snowed the entire time we were there and they got around 2-3". Very edgable. Sorry but no pics. Even had a@Weatherman sighting in the bathroom as I was leaving. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  12. Clean up the bits and pieces and stop looking like a whilder beast? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  13. Their lifts are low and between the trees, well one is, so probably will fair well. I was there last week for the 8-10 they got and had a blast. Mostly short kinda steeps and longish groomers. Great little plaslce though. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  14. No doubt I appreciate the early distant warning there is nothing worse than hauling your ass to a hill at 0Dark30 to find out 2 hours into a 3 3/4 hour ride that the hill in question will be closed. This is definitely a very unique situation where people have the ability to slide just 30 miles down the road on the same pass/ticket but it doesn't happen often. I think it would be cool if BW would honor day tickets purchased at Cannon if Cannon closed for the day or maybe charging a $20 fee to ski. I know it would never happen but just a though. 17. New local place in Fall River I finally got to visit. All but one was very drinkable. I really didn't want to like this stuff as I am offended by their 4pack prices but it was very good. I, in principle, did not take beer home. But easily would have gotten at least two 4s. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  18. That looks fantastic!! Me and the boy hit Black today, had a blast. Unfortunately my daughter decided to go figure skating on Monday night and no owns a left wrist buckle fracture and is down for the next 3 weeks minimally. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  19. I agree and disagree with Tash being a beginner hill. I know the double/quad learning area is small and leads to the run-out of Humphrey's / Northwest Passage but it's the only area where they mix. There are plenty of places where there are inappropriate leveled skiers on trails they have no business being on, the Rocket at Crotched is a perfect example, upper lynx, South Bowl or Ridge, Perry Merrill, upper Cannon etc etc but yet they are there. 20. Monday was better than Saturday, they got 2-3" late day Sunday which they filled in perfectly. Today must be great. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  21. There are some great glades off Wondering Skis also. There are a few pockets of glades on Attitash proper but they are pretty small, off lower Highway and one off skiers right of Moat. The Bear side definitely has the best glades, and very good steeps. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  22. 23. Pleasantly cold, empty and edgable. Its a venerable ghosttown in this joint. 2-3" late yesterday groomed into fantastic runs this am. We did some snow shoeing yesterday along the saco which was fun too. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  24. Definitely never cotton. Holds water and will make you cold. I'm in the less is more school, polypropylene - thin or heavy weight depending on how cold, insulated or non insulated ski pants - always waterproof for bottoms and similar for the top, polypropylene base with a jacket, sometimes a fleece vest or pull over and jacket - insulated or non depending on temps.
