The Noridca NRGY 100 occupies the middle ground between a carving and freeride ski at 100 mm underfoot. The pintail shape is flat to give you carving feedback, but also not hang you up in the bumps. It has a single sheet of milled out laminate giving it a decidedly medium flex. These are no noodles, but also won't punish you and demand speed. There is a fair amount of early rise in the tip, but the tail is flat.
At 100 mm underfoot, these are not dedicated powder skis nor are they dedicated carvers. Where they excel is mixed conditions. This is an excellent choice for spring days that start firm and end up sloppy. They'd also make a great choice for a trip out west, or especially to the Alps where conditions can vary wildly with elevation.
