  1. I left Binghamton at 7:30 for the weekend up here, got skiing at 12:30 and lapped north Ridge most of the day. Thankfully that lift is really fast and efficient since I skied an absurd amount. About 4-5 runs an hour till the lifts closed. My second to last run was Upper FIS to lower FIS in 11 minuets. Also finally got to one up my friend from Switzerland.
  2. I can't believe we have made it this long without a Sugarbush thread. Has anyone seen this illegally cut trail off sunrise? How far down is it? is it much wider than a glade entrance?
  3. Saw this on Sugarbush's snow report. I've been getting tired of the uphill traffic at Cannon mostly because the groups don't seem to think single file is a good idea going around tight corners Anyone else having problems with people skinning up?
  4. My friend just posted this picture of sugarbush today. Things are looking good there. Sent from my iPhone using Northeast Mountain Sports mobile app
  5. I supposed I may as well start a Sugarbush thread since they open for the season today for passholders. I know a lot of the SB people are still on AZ and not sure how many made it over to this forum, but in case anyone wants SB info, let's put it here. I don't plan on starting my season at SB until early December. Too much going on for me usually this time of year to justify the 5 hour drive for only a handful of trails.
  6. @Sugarbush_Resort has agreed to participate in an Ask Me Anything thread. So please, let's hear your questions.
  7. Sugarbush has announced their list of ski club discount days for the 2017-18 season. I added them to the calendar. Wed., Dec. 13 - Sun., Dec. 17, 2017 - $50 / ticket Mon., Jan 1 - Sun., Jan 7, 2018 - $60 Saturday, $52 Monday - Friday and Sunday Show your ski club ID at any ticket window.
  8. Was supposed to visit family in Burlington this past weekend. Plans changed for them at the last minute but I still had taken the day off work and went to Sugarbush instead on Friday. When I pulled into the lot I was one of maybe 12 cars. The mountain opened at 10, and I was there at about 10:30. There was actually more open than I expected. Heaven's Gate was open with Organgrinder, Ripcord, Spillsville, and Jester. I went up there to start the day and it started to lightly rain. Some expressed concern about Downspout connecting to HG but it was actually in great shape. Organgrinder had excellent coverage, wide bumps, few bare spots. Ripcord was decent until the final pitch which I avoided due to a 10' section of bare grass on the run out back to the lift. Spillsville had nice tight bumps but had some bare spots down lower. Murphy's Glade was also open off Super Bravo which I hit. Lower OG and Jester were also open, but I didn't get the chance to do those. Valley House terrain had excellent coverage. Steins and Spring Fling especially. The run out is also doing surprisingly well. Photos: Ripcord from HG chair Phenomenal visibility at the top of Organgrinder. Spillsville A decimated Mall from the VH lift.
