Roll call 11/22-25

Recommended Posts

A Basin Friday and Keystone or Breck on Sunday - both reporting 1300 acres open. Skied Horseshoe Bowl @ Breck last weekend.

Skipped A Basin - too many people. Instead we headed to Keystone which had lots of terrain open on all three peaks. Snowed all day and they dropped ropes on trails for some nice 6-12 inch powder turns but rather chaotic due to people with the same idea. No lift lines.

With 12-24 inches coming in today Breck should be prime on Sunday.

Crazy busy at SR today, guess all the shoppers came out (yesterday was some much lighter).  Naturals still skiing well, guess the reality check comes tonight.

Hunter was moderately busy in terms of lines, F lift (upper front face) was ski on. Backside, Belt Parkway, and the North Face were closed, the small overall crowd could not spread out. Had some good bumps there.

Also, I saw sugarbush opened the rest of the trails off Super Bravo and all of Castlerock. Basically, that's everything they can feasibly open.

Wildcat was super busy yesterday. The pass pickup line was back to the end of the lodge and down the stairs. They started the day with 600 blank pass cards and ran out.

Wow. Why did everyone wait to Saturday to get their passes? Cannon pass line suxed as well but unlike Wildcat it was the first day they were open.

There were a lot more families there than in weeks past. I think it's a lot of the Attitash crowd who showed up now that soccer is over.

The line for passes at Okemo was to the end of the corral as we were leaving on Friday.   It was almost as busy in the morning when we got there, but not quite.

While the rain put somewhat of a damper on our Cannon experience yesterday, the snow was still fantastic!  We had to drag 2/3 kids off the mountain around 3 so we could get home at a reasonable time!  With the storm this week, next weekend should be even better :)

With them on Epic Pass now, it is a lot cheaper than it was. Not to mention having three ski areas in NE for a little over 800 is probably attractive at this point.

I just wonder how many of those people attempted to get the passes online (like we did) and didn’t get them on time.  That happened to us...!
