Flying Yeti 135 Report post Posted February 3 (edited) Hit up an old hill today with the wife. They really are in a "snowbelt". About 18" more base than the al natural at Magic and other southern VT locations. The extreme cold kept the stuff from Wednesday super fresh and powdery. Did two quick laps. We will definitely be back. Still lots of 10-12"+ of untracked to be found. The group there does an amazing job maintaining the trails and woods. Benski 34 Report post Posted February 3 Whats the place called? I skinned Aqua Terra park in Binghamton, formerly the Innsbruck USA ski area. Its 500 vertical and has excellent advanced/intermediate terrain yesterday. It seams like there were 20+ tracks on the hill that had been skied Wednesday-Saturday. I have I did not go skiers right of the t bar line which looked like a staircase from all the people hiking it, so the number of tracks could be much higher. Its such a shame, this ski area had excellent terrain, elevation and was north facing with no competition within a 45 minuets drive. Also this is the NELSAP hill where I went biking in the fall and broke my wheel.
SkiBearded! 43 Report post Posted February 5 Fantastic spot yeti! Incredible how there is so much snow within an hour of me but I choose to destroy my skis at Berkshire East. Starting a thread up about skiing Nelsap areas is a great idea as well. Sent from my iPhone using Northeast Mountain Sports
GrewUpSkiingWachusett 2 Report post Posted February 5 Great topic. I would love to ski Ascutney and Saddleback (which probably isn't part of NELSAP yet but may be soon) some day.
Los 8 Report post Posted February 6 Agree that it’s a great topic, but wouldn’t it nice to know where the pics were taken? Not sure why that info wasn’t offered up in the first place...

Cannonballer 456 Report post Posted Wednesday at 10:44 PM I have a couple of NELSAP favorites. President's week is often a prime time for them. Promise some reports if we hit them.
