Wind Hold Log

Recommended Posts

Spin off of @Cannonballer's thread about wind direction. Figured it might be helpful in the future to log when our mountains have wind holds so we have a database to reference back to.

Wildcat got the lifts running by late morning yesterday. Can confirm that conditions are the bar were quiet, but we gave it our best.

Cannon

*7am update:
We are currently experiencing a regional power outage - that combined with strong winds that are predicted to continue today will not allow us to open for today. We do plan to reopen on Saturday, March 14th, with lifts opening at 8:30am.

No power due to Wind issues.........think this counts as wind hold  !

Wind is not a factor at Bretton Woods! Wind has affected lift operation only 17 out of 6119 days.

Do they edit that 6119 every day of operation or on a yearly basis?

We'll find out. I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on that going forward. Image result for suspicious gif

They called it "weather" not "wind" so they can keep the streak alive

They update it every day of the season.  On March 2nd they said "17 out of 6108"

But they basically never change the 17. Even when they report that wind has affected lift operation.
