There have been a few posts on here about GWs mountain bike network (which is great!). On Saturday I finally got to try them out on skis. The place is truly incredible. Over 30 miles of groomed track and skate trails, good parking, warming huts with wood stoves and hot chocolate! All for free!! The guy (through his foundation) owns and maintain thousands of acres. His only goal is to get people outdoors. It's kind of hard to believe.

Personally I lean towards more ungroomed XC trails, but I can always appreciate reliable conditions. The grooming was excellent. There were mostly skate-skiers there. Many of them looked like college racers (probably Plymouth state). We only scratched the surface of the network with a 6mile ski. We took advantage of one of the huts for a break and hot chocolate. Can't wait to get back.
