Conway recommendations

Recommended Posts

I'm going to N. Conway last week in feb. The group is two families with two dad's that are very strong skiers, wives who would take a beginner lesson, 5yo intermediate, 4yo beginner, and 2 2yo who ski with the dads holding them between their legs...

Being in N. Conway looks like the reasonable options are attitash, cranmore, and maybe wildcat for the dads for a half day...

Very diverse group heading up, but what say you Conway gurus? What would you suggest for the two days? Would cranmore/attitash be good enough?

Wildcat (and maybe Attitash) run a decent all day kids program for $80 that includes rental, lessons and lower lift tickets. You might want to check that out so you can get some free time to ski. You should book a reservation for that in advance because it does fill up.

Sounds like Shawnee Peak would work well for all.

Shawnee Peak is a good suggestion. It no further than Wildcat from town. And they have night skiing if you get a late start.

I brought by little brother (in his 20’s) to wildcat to learn to ski. What is nice about there beginner area is it’s quiet most people go to cranmore, attitash or bwoods to learn. You usually have the lift and beginner trails pretty much to yourself. They just don’t get the learning crowds other mountains get. Wild kitten makes for a nice run off the bob cat lift when your sick of the beginner’s lift terrian.
