SkiBearded!

Now that the lifts have closed.

Recommended Posts

It’s that time of year for skinning. With my beat up ribs and this absolute shit weather pattern i am getting a later start. Things are looking nicer later this week with spring like conditions finally on their way. I hope I’m better by the end of the weekend and can head out.

Who has advice on which mountains care if you skin or not?

Attitash- a no, I was asked to leave last year.

Wildcat- is good to go anytime

Berkshire East(getting thin)- good to go

Mount Snow- will announce if they don’t want people to skin

Stratton- haven’t been asked to leave, if you look at the map you can find a killer spot to access directly below snow bowl lift with a couple parking spots

Cannon- they say they don’t allow it but I wasn’t stopped the one time I tried

Pats- good to go

CM- no one seems to care

Killington- easier to ride the lift but no one seems to care if you skin up

If others want to add more info here I think it could be useful for others.

5/11- managed one last skin up wildcat. I was able to make it to the pretty much where hairball drops down on Lynx. There were several grass spots and skiing was not continuous. Lynx did ski well though. It seemed hard because it was only in the 40s with a stiff wind but going down it was nice firm corn. My season at Wildcat is over now I move across the street for turns.
